Marshall Cohen is one of the founding partners of the Cohen & Perfetto. He specializes in conveyancing, retail, office and ground leasing, and financing representing both foreign and domestic institutions in their acquisition programs, as well as individual investors and developers in their real estate transactions. He began his legal career in the real estate department of Fried Frank, where he represented major foreign institutions, and eventually moved on to become a co-managing partner at his former law firm where he co-chaired and established a full service real estate practice.
Mr. Cohen also serves on the boards of the Amputee Coalition of America and the Aston Magna Music Foundation in Great Barrington, Mass. His main goal with the ACA is to lobby for more equitable insurance coverage for prosthesis through state legislation for now, and eventually through federal pre-emptive legislation.
Mr. Cohen graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers College in 1961. He received his Ph.D. in American History from Harvard and served on the history faculty at both Harvard and MIT. In 1976, he received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he also taught the Real Estate Transactions course for several years.

Louis Perfetto is a founding partner and the managing partner of Cohen & Perfetto. Before he started Cohen and Perfetto, he was the co-managing partner of his former law firm with Mr. Cohen. There he co-chaired the real estate practice as well as created and expanded the firm's banking practice, after becoming the youngest partner in the firm's history. He concentrates his practice in the area of real estate transactions, banking, economic development, governmental incentives, conveyancing, commercial retail, office and ground leasing and financing, and he has a well developed specialty in financings with New York City's Industrial Development Agency and New York State's Empire State Development Corp.
In addition, he serves on the advisory committees of several financial institutions where he has helped advise them on evolving market conditions and legal developments.
Mr. Perfetto received a B.A. degree from St. Joseph's College. He graduated cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and received his LL.M. from New York University.

Jennifer Padnick is one of the three founding partners of Cohen & Perfetto. Ms. Padnick has a well-rounded background in all aspects of commercial real estate law. She began her legal career in state government and later made the transition to private practice as an associate in J.P. Morgan's legal department. Ms. Padnick later joined Mr. Cohen and Mr. Perfetto, first as an associate attorney on their real estate transactional team, and eventually as a partner. Ms. Padnick focuses her practice in all aspects of real estate transactional law including conveyancing, sales and acquisitions, ground leasing, commercial leasing and financing for banks and borrowers.
Ms. Padnick received a B.A. degree in political science from the University of Illinois and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
